This prime corner site is located in Brooklyn’s Midwood neighborhood, on one of Brooklyn’s busiest streets. In 2007, Boss Equities and its affiliates purchased the former Hollywood Video site in an off-market transaction. During closing, the partnership identified and extracted additional value from the property by offering a struggling Hollywood Video an opportunity to be bought out of its current under-market lease. This allowed the partnership to take advantage of the area’s high rents. After creating value through the buyout, the company sold the building to a local investor who developed a mixed-use retail and office building anchored by Verizon Wireless.
